We are excited to present a wonderful opportunity to showcase the sport of Reining to our esteemed sponsors and inspire others to get involved. A special thank you to Mick Taylor Reining for stepping up as the sponsor for the 2026 competition, helping to promote Reining throughout New Zealand.

 

Scope of Competition

         a) The event will take place at the NZRHA Nationals in Hawera in 2026.

         b) The winner of the competition will receive a prize package that includes $1,000 in prize money, a buckle, and                                 exclusive winners' jackets and cap.

         c) Prize money will be awarded from 1st to 4th place: 1st place $1,000, 2nd place $500, 3rd place $300, and 4th                                 place $200.

         d) Additional prizes will be awarded up to 6th place.

         e) The entry fee is $100, which is non-refundable and must be payable by March 1st, 2026.

 

Conditions of Eligibility

 

To participate, horses and riders/owners must meet the following requirements:

• Horses must be 5 years of age or older.

• Horse and rider must qualify as a combination at two (2) or more nominated shows during the current season in New Zealand.

• Horse owners and riders must be financial members of the NZRHA before qualifying.

• All horses must compete one-handed in a curb.

• Approved shows include NZRHA Shows, AQHA, and NZWRF-approved events.

• Participants will need to indicate the show date and class they competed in on the entry form
